The better battery thread has some good info.
I went with the yellow top with top and side terminals. I added a few pics and comments in the thread as well
Went with yellow top also. Reading description yellow seemed better match for ss
2015 should be able to install without mounting adapter

You will likely get many other opinions, but I'll throw mine in the mix. Most seem to go with the yellow top, as it's a deep cycle but built for cranking power also. If you are running a high powered radio/lighting, things like that with it parked, I'd go with this one.
If you do like I do, and just drive it like you would a bike or car without being stopped with a power draw while it's not running, I'd go with this one, the red top. It's what I put in mine, and has over 2 times the cranking reserve that the original one my SS came with.
Whichever battery you go with, yes you can ground to the frame.

Any reason to go for the ones with both top and side terminals over the ones with just top terminals?

The only reasons would be if your adding optional items (such as an amp) you could tie it to the side post , or like Rab I think he ties the side to a 2nd battery. Things like that.
This is on 2016 so i needed adapter mounting plate

@Flybuddy, One more reason, at least on the 2016.5, the battery cables are for the smaller side post. If using a top post only, you'll need the adapter or put new ends on. With the newer SS, you might get the Slingmod's battery plate adapter. I did, hold the battery firm and without any chance of movement. It came with the top post clamps included. I actually went with the top post only, and used the adapters, but instead of cutting my cables to put the new larger ends on, I just used the bolts that clamp the ends on the cable. I did use locktite blue on the thread that attached my cable, just in case of vibration.
Got one advanced 20 bucks more than Amazon but I can pick it up this evening when I get off work

Probably too late to help, but IF Napa has them, they have a 10% discount to AAA members.
I have 2016 Sling w/ small battery. This is what I did & it works (saved me $100 fro the battery tray).
The red block came with the yellow top optima - I just had to get a longer screw & used the factory bolt hole location.
The 2 bungee cords are the secret weapon lol
They may charge a core fee until you return your old battery advanced auto. I told then my old one was a small motorcycle battery. They said never mind and didn't charge me the core deposit. Since the 2016 and newer have the half sized batteries
