Kenny, weren't there a couple forum guys asking about this today? Maybe you could add that as one of the questions - who were they?
-
Something like that would be perfect for your cross country trip Phil.

One of my friends (wants to be name less) asked me to get the luggage mount, I said not the hole assembly it would to be expensive. Then he asked how about just the brackets, I'll make it short I sold him just the bracket and I gave him the dimensions for the top plate. He just texted me and said everything what he wants do will be done next Wednesday.
PS he has CORBIN saddle bags. -
Here are some pictures where you guys and girls can see what my friend did with the brackets.

awesome. I could handle that... whats the damage to the pocket for your friend to sell these? Is that handicap railing? And what is the material he attached the bars to?
-
the boxes mounted on top would work also... although I said I didnt want to put luggage on top of the canvas... (just because I like the option to pull canvas off on a whim) it was a pain in the arse trying to figure luggage out for ssits.

The canvas still comes off without removing of the luggage rag. The rag take a few minutes to take of (Less then 5).

For the bracket (4 each) black powder coded with hardware and dimension for top plate (ALU 6061 T6) I charged $ 750.00 including shipping. So far I know he used handicap railing made out of stainless steel.

I assume you mean $75 for the brackets?!

I wish powder coding is way more than that, also I have them made at a local CNC machine shop.

I just called my local CNC machine shop and he said If I would order 10 sets (40 Pc.) he could cut the cost almost in halve because it would be a small production run for him (setup time ect.)

$750.00 or 375 if halved... for just the brackets of the whole kit and kaboodle??
That makes my wee wittle pocketbook trimble.... -
Curiosity killed the cat.....
what keeps the brackets from sliding or scratching the powder coating on the bars? -

That makes my wee wittle pocketbook trimble....It would be for the brackets, the aluminum top pc without drilling or powder coding is roughly $200.00 which you may be able to buy cheaper locally, also you could use other mounting hardware for example for "GIVI" cases the hardware is around $ 70.00 for the hardware.
Again this price would be only possible if I could order 10 sets (40 brackets) I'm not Donald so if there would be a bigger demand then yes. ALSO THIS IS basically at cost maybe a few free beers for me.
