I have been amazed as I read about all the great friendships that have been created and the incredible way this community has no boundaries when it comes to taking care of others. Since @rabtech opened up our new community and led us towards the light I have witnessed acts of kindness from others who are only known by their posts. From wrench days and cookies, assisting with breakdowns (both mechanically and mentally), and to the banter about everything under the sun, I have found a home. One that is truly where my family hangs out.
We went on a journey this week, that never would have happened in the past, when we took up an offer from @Bill Martin to come down and visit. We set out Tuesday morning intending to stay at Bill's that night and head out to Biloxi to meet up with my brother for 2 days. That didn't happen, we ended up staying 2 days at my new brother's home and 1 night in Biloxi. Bill and Angie took us out around the Lake Charles area for a days ride that finished up at Steamboat Bill's for some great Coonass food. Thank you guys for welcoming us into your home and making us feel better than family. In addition we were able to spend some time with @Rob the Slob and his lovely wife.
Another part of our community that rocks is the support we get from the vendors that care. About 150 miles from the house we started noticing the exhaust was getting louder and we could smell fumes. At our next fill up we discovered the end of the exhaust had cracked. After confirming that Bill had the tools to change the exhaust I got in touch with @SlingMods Brandon and let him know what was happening. In what I would consider going above and beyond (but really is the norm), Brandon coordinated with @Alpha Media who over-nighted a new exhaust to Bill's house arriving 10:30 the next morning. This is a great example of how some vendors are a part of our community and are here to support us.
