Figured I'd start a thread so we can figure out what size to make them. And what we want them to say. Gentleman let's design a badge ...well or 2 lol. Might as well start throwing ideas around so we can come to a general consensus.
Yes that's right we all kinda have to agree on it lol
Ecu Badges

The one that goes on the access port under the steering wheel should be engraved & have a hole drilled such that it can be zip tied...

I'm easy, whatever you guys decide upon. I don't think the wording is too crucial as long as the point gets across to any bonehead with a (digital)wrench working on it and understands not to screw up the tune!

Warning! Custom ECU. See owner. Shop will be held responsible for tampering.

Short and sweet and to the point. That would be two each one for under the hood and one for the end of the connector, however it needs to attach.

Short and sweet and to the point
Wife says the same thing... Referring to TIME not length!!!

I'm with everyone else, short and to the point, I've grown accustomed to that.
IF space allowed "Financially Responsible"??
Also, being we are talking (2) badges, maybe the one under dash to reference seeing ECM, where there is a bit more real estate for more detail, referring to a post I read the other night on this subject, can't remember exact wording though I could go find it.
Under dash...
Contains "CUSTOM TUNE", if you flash you're
"FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE"........ See ECM! -
DON'T really care, just want some.....thing to reference custom tune, and their acceptance of responsibility to replace! Have been thinking this for a while, just glad someone with the capabilities has stood up to offer their service to produce it.

Yep. 2 locations and financially responsible. I'm in
-
Maybe... "ECU custom tuned. Screw it up and I will find you and I will gut you like a fish."
-
My only concern with telling them they are financially responsible is that they may refuse to work on the sling. And can we actually hold them to it if they do. Maybe we need to word it more gently.
Hey @Bill Martin if we put a warning on the ecu that says if you screw it up you have to pay to fix it can we hold the dealer to it.
If you know anyways would be helpful.
Thanks in advance. -

I'm not a lawyer but I think it would be very hard to actually hold a dealer financially responsible if they do screw it up. Not saying you couldn't, but it could very well be a fight. What it might do is make them take pause and think about what they are about to do. I'd rather a dealership turn me away for service than screw up my tune/ride. This was a lesson I learned the hard way recently with my wheels. Curb Rash Minus the Curb -
Too harsh?

My ECU is Off Limits to YOU
Do Not Touch or you'll catch a PUNCH -
OK on second thought we go for shock and awe. Lol
I totally agree it should be a big hey you be careful kind of thing. Something to catch their attention. -
Ohhhh @Bill Martin ... we need you brother!!! Paging Bill... wait did I say Pager.

If this doesn't make him appear nothing will....chrome and bourbon should do it.
