Hi. I just installed my alpha intake. Seems like there is a rev delay. Is this computer related? I press the gas and then it revs. Make any sense?

The nice thing about the ECU is that it is a learner. Give it a little time running and take it for a drive. It should get better each time you run it and in 4 or 5 runs it will have it all figured out and she'll run like she should

Really? So you're pretty sure it wasn't anything I did during install? All computer related? Does everyone experience this?
Are you getting any error codes?

Yup .... just the ECU learning to transition from the OEM POS to the smooth and silky sexiness of an Alpha CAI

Thank you. To be fair didn't take it out for a spin. I'm in jersey and there is snow....rumor has it it doesn't do too well in the snow....
No error codes on dash. Just started it up to check sound and noticed a bit of a delay.
Same here in Wisconsin. Let it warm up for a few minutes then shut her down for a couple and the start her up again and I bet you notice a difference. Mine did the same when I installed mine

.
Try this ......
Start it from cold ..... don't touch the gas pedal ...
Let it idle (not touching the gas) until the radiator fan cycles on and off ....
Shut it off ......... wait a couple minutes and re-start ...
See if that resets the throttle control baseline in the ECU ....

Should I open the garage door or keep it closed?
While as a child, I would love to smell/sniff the leaded gas exhaust whenever the milk delivery truck came by, I'd have to recommend opening the garage door!
