Pictures of Aftermarket Radio install

Gotta go for something bright as most head units you won't be able to see screen cause of glare..

Happy with Clarion. Bright and easy function..Nothing super fancy compared to some out there, but waterproof , crisp, bright screen & fits Sling perfect

Bottom pic was Kenwood, decent' but couldn't see jack shit...

Since you guys are on the radio install I have a question about the factory speaker box, is there supposed to be 2 or 3 t40 bolts holding it on.??

Well that was the way mine were also but there was a place for a 3rd hole and placement on the bottom when I took mine off today just for some cleaning, thought they got in a hurry from factory and said screw it it's Friday..! But it was like that on both sides drive and passenger side.

I had some extra screws and mounted all three...base stock had two screws (no speaker pods). I got the speaker pods from someone else and figured I'd use all three holes...

It's always best when you find you can use all three...

What vender did you buy the screws from.?

Again, the Sling was used and the previous owner gave me random things with it, I believe they were from cycle springs... But @rabtech might have extra...?

Yeh I'm sure he's got plenty, since he's just up the road a piece, just didn't want to mooch off of him.

IIRC, the factory speaker pods come with 2 screws to secure the front tabs. If you look at the rear-most screw hole, there is a T40 screw securing the lower body panel to the frame. I used all 3 locations to secure the factory pods.

Ok, maybe that's were I missed it all I seen when I took the speaker box off was the 2 t40's but there seemed to be a slot for a 3rd screw on the bottom that wasn't there, when I looked at the other side it was the same way. No 3rd screw.......

Single DIN with tilting screen. That way it tilts flat toward you so you can see it when the sun is out.

@BONES, I think @MiM can smell that stuff before it gets posted. Someone posted a while back about an after market set from a car that would fit. I wrote it down, but it's at my office. I'll try to find it tomorrow.
