Woops I thing it's Cut and Paste. Sorry, well not really lol
FunCycle super good at all Things Slingshot EXCEPT the computer stuff.... He can answer the questions on most anything as long as he does not have to put a picture in or a link....

I installed a light bar under the chin spoiler. 6 spot LED's and 6 wide angle floods. Solved pretty much all my lighting problems.
and because it's installed back under the spoiler, it lights the road without blinding oncoming drivers. I rarely get the "bright light flash"
Unfortunately, the HELLA 998570021 60mm HB3High Beam SAE Headlamp is now listed at $242 instead of the old listing of around $58!
That's what happens when word gets back to a manufacturer that their product is popular with Slingshot owners... lol 😆
Looks like a few people did not figure that out yet
At that price it's almost worth buying one now as a spare for that one day when a rock doesn't lift up high enough to impact the hood or Windshield

I am waiting for a light bar now. My intention was to mount in front of grill. I may look at mounting under after seeing this

Did the same in 2016 ......
.........
EDIT: Used a 13" 36w Cree thin-line compound lens bar (6 center spots, 3 wide angle on each end) and these clamps : https://www.morris4x4center.co…625&utm_content=CATCH-ALL

How much air flow will it block in front of the GRILL?
.
She adopted my '15 .........

She did! And the light still works great!!
I went with mounting it underneath and it worked great! The flood portions of the bar really light up sides. This should be great for spotting critters on these country roads
Low beam
hi beam
Light bar
Keep in mind that local LEOs may or may not pull you over if you leave that light bar on when approaching other vehicles. Looking at the pics above, the light bar , while flooding the road surface and sides with light, also throws plenty of light up to hit the trees and will have the same blinding impact on an approaching driver as the high beams. I don't have a light bar, but the 2 strips of LEDs in my MadStad bumper still manage to throw light up above the low beam cutoff even though I have the LEDs aimed down as much as I can. I rarely use them since it's a PITA to find the switch on the console every time I need to dim my lights. Of course, different laws may apply in different areas.
Boomer I got it from ebay.

BKL last night was the first time driving with it. I don't intend on leaving it on in traffic. I will most likely use this instead of my high beams.
Also, this particular light came with the wiring/switch mostly pre-assembled. I just needed + and ground, then connect wires at light end. The switch has 3m style tape. I mounted to the steering column just under the Ignition switch. Easy to reach, easy to find even in the dark.
what’s the difference between H9 and H11 headlights?

H11 minus H9 = 2
so I found these imitation 2020 replacement lights for older slingshots.....
https://www.slingmods.com/pola…ion-kit-2015-19?vehicle=3
so my questions are....... is this too much money to spend on these?
do the new slingshot flat headlights make round lights with halos....old school obsolete?
do people with 2020/2021 SS think these new lights are bright enough?
