The water meter reading guy informed me that I had used so many thousands of gallons of water yesterday. I had a pressurized line pop at the fitting. It has been perfect since 2009. Just decided to let go. And of all the pipes I monitor this is one that we installed before the metering equipment. It was basically anew area that we added into the sprinkler system once we had the main sprinklers in place.
You can see it had primer on it before the glue. It held for years.

They already warned me it was going to be a large water bill. That sucks.
i am not sure how it is there locally.. but here in Atlanta when you have a water issue like that, as long as you can show proof there was a problem and invoice that it was fixed, they would adjust it to the average you been paying the last several months.. you should give the city a call.

We don't have sewer way out here in the country. We just let it run off the other side of the hill....

In Louisiana we turn sewer run off into fountains - great till the wind is going in the wrong direction

$480 a month??! When I lived in Tampa they had reclaimed water to wash cars and watering yard - ain't got that where you live @kenny_h???
