Without starting a new thread, I thought a little Spring Break 2023 pic would go neat to you guys in the cold or snowy areas.
It's 41 at the moment. Daughter left for her Canadian snowmobile trip from her house this morning in Jackman Maine. They've done 200 miles so far today and have 170 more to go before they stop for the night. Boy do I miss snowmobiling. Going to see if my shoulder will hold up snowmobiling since I broke it. She left me one to ride since I'm watching her dogs while she's gone. Sorry alittle off topic.
Ice fishing this past weekend, and a sled trip also this week in Cochrane, Ontario. They just got 15-18” of snow the past 2 days.
Daughters trip was cut 2 days short. No snow in Quebec area. Had to have a friend drive 4 hrs one way to pick them and their sleds up. But they did enjoy the outdoor heated pool while waiting for the rescue this morning.
46 and ice melting on Long lake maine. Getting close to sling season. Cold out and too much water on roads to rude today.
58 in Sedona
17 In Flagstaff 🥶Definitely Not SS weather!
It's currently 48 but it's a cold 48, no sun. Tomorrow supposed to hit 50 and sunny. Time to get off the sofa and dawn my heated gear snd go for a good ride.
71 here right now, looks like a very nice day, but they say another storm is supposed to roll through tomorrow and Thursday
Edit - we are up to 79 now - - first day in a long time that we actually made it to what should be normal for this time of year

[/quote]Come to Texas where you have to use both the heater and air conditioner on the same day. 40s in the AM, 80s in the PM.

right now it is 69.3 degrees on my back porch and it is overcast. This a a screen shot from a camera located 5.25 miles west of my location at the top of the Palm Springs Tram
my house is at an elevation of roughly 525 feet above sea level - this is about 8000 feet higher
Had to do a booze run to NH. Very nice 99 mile ride round trip with my heated gear on. Oh, Temp was 42 to 50 by the time I got home.
We have three major mountains near where I live in Southern California. Mt San Antonio 10,064', Mt San Jacinto 10,834' which is where the PS tram runs and Mt San Gorgonio 11,502' and the tallest mountain in Southern CA.- - It is also interesting to note that just a few miles east of my home the elevation drops below sea level as you approach the Salton Sea
22 degrees in Moab this morning 🥶
Just a few feet above sea level in FL this week ....

My favorite story about elevation is from a buddy who worked at an art gallery on the cruise ship docks in Ketchikan, Alaska. He said that it was fairly often that someone would get off the ship and gaze up at the snow-covered peaks while standing on the dock and ask, 'Wow, what is the elevation here?' He would look down at the water directly below them and reply 'about 8 feet.'
Today was the perfect weather to go monkeying on the beach with a few friends
