I'll take that as I need to try and get my deposit back or you don't like me.
-
My apologies - should have said I never encourage it.
like anything else hey can be more work than expected
-
I'm messing with ya. I'm pretty sure everyone but the voices in my head and the local pool companies told me it was a bad idea and I was stupid for even considering it.
-
More work for sure I have a large inground and it has been dry for around 8 years now. Had it had resurfaced many years ago, and lack of proper maintaining ate it up again. I only get into it to clean it and when I got a good auto cleaner I didn't get in it at all. It was just me then so why spend big bucks getting it redone. My son can worry about it when time comes for him to sell the house.

If ya have good weather and time to float they can be very relaxing.."Bob away my Blues!"
-
If you got a good looking honey in a skimpy bathing suit it helps.

here with our very high temps and our 350 plus days of sunshine a day having a pool has been great - yea its work, and they do need maintenance, but just the fact that each and every one of my grandkids will always remember learning to swim at grandpa & grandma's house is more than worth it - - heck two of my granddaughters have been in there every day this week so far
heater hasn't worked for over a year, but they dont seem to care

Yeah, I made that mistake some years ago when I bought a house in California with a pool already. $5K before I even got to swim in it for resurfacing and then another $1500 a year later for a new heater/pump. I figured out that it cost me about $500 per swim.
Remember: A pool is just a hole in the ground you pour money into.
And now in Texas, I have a stock tank pool. Less than $1K and I tube just fine.
-
Shipping containers work well also...
-
Yep, even looked at those myself. Those start at about $25K+ too.

The fog has burned off and the wind has died down. Turning out to be a beautiful day in the NC mountains. Time to get back to work on the new shop.

When you moving?
Hopefully around this time next year
Still have to get this place all fixed up, then do some dress up work in Clarksville so it is ready to sell and get the last of my ducks in a row....
If it was up to me I would just stay here and not go home. But my laundry is piling up and I miss my dog.

THAT LOOKS LIKE MY TO DO LIST

"I don't even have ducks. I have squirrels, and they are at a rave."

My squirrels are dining at the bird feeder.
