The vibration is what is killing them. Did not mean to be critical and step on any toes about this. For the Quik-Loc to work you have to have a little play when you adjust them so you will be sure for it to latch over the ball.

What was today's Sling project-Mods , goodies.....?

As long as you are having fun.
Some think it's a competition
Some just have lots of time to take long road trips.

I anyone wasn't having fun driving the SS, why bother? And on that note, if they aren't having fun, they likely aren't driving it right! I drive mine every chance I get..... because it's so much fun!

oh trust me I am having fun. but it seems that I have it in the garage more than out driving due to adding stuff to it lol. I got it October of 17 as a bare base model and have done a bunch of additions. and because I am not a mechanic by profession, some of the simple things take me a little longer than it probably should but I make sure I do it correctly so, I end up working on it more than driving it. but hell yeah its a blast and wouldn't trade it for nothing.

I've had my 2015 Slingshot just over 4 years now with almost 1 year where I had it disassembled for repainting, turbo install and other mods. That said, I now have around 52000 miles, all of which have been local rides. I try to ride every other day, weather permitting, with a typical ride being between 80-135 miles. Racking up miles is not that hard. You just have to find the time and a reason. My excuse is I need to go check on some cats I feed when I see them.
Even when I was on two wheels, I usually averaged around 15000 miles/yr on my motorcycles. That included riding to work in decent weather (not raining or snowing) as well as weekend trips. I tend to do things to excess once I focus on it. I didn't start motorcycling until our kids were pretty much out of the house, so I didn't have their demands for travel, etc., to worry about.
-
yeah I think my typical rides are like 5 to 10 miles lol. my work is 5 miles or less to my house and then the store when I make those runs are less than 2? really not going far at all lol. but the attention it gets make those trips seem like an all day affair. people stopping to ask questions of every variety, licensing, how fast, all of it. . . . .

Anyone want to ride in the next couple of weeks?

That will pass whenever you run out of mod money. Then you’ll have time to ride but can’t afford to fill it up. it’s a vicious cycle.

Installed the Pedalmax this evening. 10 minutes to install the unit and an hour to mount it and get the wires run in a way that didn't trigger my OCD. Tomorrow I'll road test it.

Red most of us have know you long enough that we KNOW there will be no BS in the review of the product. Looking forward to the results.

I racked up all my miles driving back and forth to work every day before I was forced to retire. 180 miles round trip, it added up fast 1 1/2 years almost 50,000 miles.

just ordered another shift knob - - 1320 Performance 1.1 pound solid stainless steel - this will be my 6th shift knob option including the stock one. I like being able to change the knob when I want to, its an inexpensive mod that makes my sling a bit different than all the others
