Received my new splitters this weekend with slingwing. I agree they look beautiful. $hit happens sometimes part of it. He went out of his way to make sure everything was right and he is also working on a few other things for me that he hasn't had to. Highly recommended Doug and the Metricks crew.

I think I'm going to remove the hood and try to install the radiator deflector and some of the new radiator hoses I picked up from Cycle Springs.
BTW, when removing the hood completely, which bolts to take out so I don't have any realignment issues. The gold color ones? Thanks,
Stephen -
My opinion would be the front 4 bolts at bottom of hinges. 2 on each side. Have you read about the heat deflector causing the engine to run hotter? Not saying it is a problem but has been noted to run hotter.

I can't wait. I just posted a "how to" remove the side wings. It requires the same swear jar as the hood inserts.

Here ya go... These are the bolts to take the hood off. Take the ones that have the allen heads out. I usually put a few heavy Beach towels on top of the engine and then put a shop towl tub on top of that. Then ease the hood down on that and you can remove the hood bolts and there isn't any pressure on them

Thanks Rabtech. I have a couple friends coming over this evening to help support it while I unbolt it.
To be honest the most disassembly I have done to it was removing the side panel to take the exhaust off. I'll be doing the gas filler tube mod next. So directions on that would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen. -
Oh forgot about gas filler mod. Definitely bring that over here.

he is the only one I have ever seen with a file that shows up like that .... When he comes back online ill ask him to reload it.

Well there was 4 things I wanted to get done today.
One was get the keyless ignition installed
Second was paint the front grill
Third was get the "Canadian Lights" adjusted to point where they are supposed to...when they were installed at the dealer they were pointed very much down lol
Fourth was to look into the problem I am having with the hood latches. I was able to find out that when I press the hood latch release at the front it is staying in the push down position and not returning. I tried lubricating the latches themselves and putting some lube at the cable entrances and exits and on the pivot to the hood release lever itself and I can now say absolutely that none of that worked
I am open to suggestions! All the rest completed without problems.

When you remove e hood like this,. When you go to put the hood back on will it automatically be aligned in the same position as when it was taken off?SSREAP
