Jared, a couple of refueling outages ago, they changed the acronym. I'm also used to calling them TLD's (for those unfamiliar, Thermo Luminescent Dosimeter) but they now call them DLR's (Dose of Legal Record)... 
Yup, I had to wear one at Philip Morris when I changed out the scanning heads on the cigarette makers. As if we didn't need yet another reason not to smoke, just for the record, every cigarette that left that factory was "X-rayed" (scanned) 25 times. I bet if the Japanese knew that back then a pack of Marlboros wouldn't have been such a status symbol at the time.

Ah, Navy still calls them TLDs. You know the tradition, 200+ years of history unencumbered by progress.
