Display MoreSo after moving a bunch of stuff the last couple of days, I cleaned out the huge stack of calipers we have back there. What I noticed right away was 2 different designs of the front calipers for the Slingshot.
They are both interchangable for installation on the Slingshot, but the casting is slightly different and the pistons also are different. If you look below at the picture, you will see the manufacturer mark "TOS" is easy to see on the caliper on the right and absent on the left one. The bleeders are also different between the 2 calipers. The caliper on the left with the square rubber cap cover on the bleeder has a M10x1 thread pitch, the caliper on the right with the rounded rubber cap has a M10x1.25 thread pitch. The bleeders are also different lengths overall.
Here is a picture of the caliper with the M10x1 thread pitch bleeder -

So the good news is it is pretty easy to identify which caliper you have on your Slingshot with a visual inspection, but there are definitely 2 different bleeders depending on the caliper you have on your Slingshot.
Hope that helps,
Dave
.......ok so today I had a chance to pull my wheels off & see that my front calipers (2) have the round cap and the rear has the flat cap on the calipers valve stem, so thanks to Frankie55 for showing that pic of a screw gauge tool and me not having one I thought to myself , time to get one lol...... Dave@DDMWorks you are so right about those calipers, my rear caliper with the flat cap is a M10 x 1 and my front with the round caps are M10 x 1.25 threads, so I'll be ordering speed bleeders for the rear......thanks to you 2 guys for the help......
