. I woke up with an idea. We all know that the rear wheel bearing on the brake side has a hall effect trigger in it. We also know that the bearing itself is of questionable quality. What if there was a way to attach a trigger wheel to say the driveshaft, and use that instead of the bearing. There could be a way to add magnets if a different sized tire was used without having to get the ECU recalibrated, and a higher quality bearing could be used as well.
Of course someone would have to figure out where and how to attach the trigger wheel, as well as the pickup. And also where, and what number magnets to use for each corresponding comon wheel size being used. I have no doubt that with the smart people on this forum, something could be figured out and fabed up.
Course it could also just have been a brain fart as well. Something to think about though

The wheel side bearing with the trigger in it is not a concern, good quality, and not known for issues ...its the pulley side needle bearing that causes the problems ... (IMO mostly due to high belt tension)
Even when Bullet machines the swingarm to accept a different bearing on the pulley side he leaves the wheel side as is .....

I accidentally clicked on this thread before I read the title....sorry

I guess I though there was an issue with that bearing too. I've had no issues with mine, and I replaced the needle bearings and installed a grease zerk for it. Chalk it up to a brain fart.
