I have a hybrid camera that I bought from protection plus security solution http://protectionplus.ca/ a few years back. With a hybrid camera you would have the option of using both an IP camera and an analog camera as well. I normally connect it to a local network with a non routable IP address. I would recommend selecting a camera with CCD chips as the recorded video footage will be clear.
