The part you wear out is the throw out bearing, when you hold the clutch pedal in.

Checked the search engine for this and couldn't find anything, so apologize if this was brought up and I missed the postings.
Hubby, let me drive the slingshot last night and even with the seat pulled all the way up, I had to stretch my legs to engage the clutch. Not bad while driving, but when stopped, I couldn't hold the clutch down for the duration of the light. Had to put in neutral to rest and then engage when taking off.
Has anyone who is short run into this issue and if so, what was your solution. I am short just about an inch or so - I am 5' tall. John is concerned about me driving that way, which would mainly be local, since he does most of the driving. Thanks! DonnaMight sound dumb, but I had a similar problem when I put my PRP Seats with 4" Foam cushions in. It raised me up 2" and back 2" so I could not press the clutch and brake completely in and hold it..... problem solved.... 2... 3" pieces of 2X4 taped to the pedals using Gorilla Tape.... (be sure to wrap length wise also, otherwise it will eventually slip off) .... been on now for 4 months and no problems. Use black tape and you don't even see it.... $6 - 7 dollars vice $100 - $250 for extensions.

Don't have an answer just a comment. I'm 5' 11" with a 29" inseam and with the seat far enough back for upper body comfort I find it difficult to depress the pedal all the way down and holding it there is most difficult.

Bubble head could you post pic of your pedals. I'm thinking of doing it now that you mentioned it but would want to use either self tapping screws or bolts. Would like to see it first. Thanks.

The clutch pedal does not have to be pushed all the way to the floor for it to work.

I'll take some pics in the morning for you.... I am 5'9" with a 30" inseam, same boat as you.....
@FunCycle it's not just about pushing the pedals down, quick and easy is one thing, but when you have to do it at a light or in traffic, using your toes to hold the clutch and brake down gets tiring....

I have zero experience with extensions, but saw this one on Amazon. Wondering if that left section could be made to fit the clutch pedal?

Measure your clutch pedal dimensions. Then go to Advance Auto Parts & look at the following product - take a measuring tape & see if you can make this work. It’s worth a shot! If it’s a little big, maybe some double sided tape to fill in around the inside edges...

I remember the neighbor guy taping a block of wood to the clutch petal so his daughter could drive the car he bought her. Now that was in the 60s and I don't remember if we had duct tape back then.

I’ve come to the conclusion that my left leg is just too weak to engage the clutch. So now I’m looking for someone to somehow convert my clutch to be hand accessible.
