Okay... Well call me cheap, unorthodox, or "different", but if I payed for my own education, so will they! Work hard and earn what you get. Scholarships, loan and then repay, work, work, work... Whatever it takes to get the degrees! Do... There is no try!
And as far as weddings... Hah! I prefer they stay single to take care of us when we're old! And if there's a gentleman who loves them enough and meets the expectations, treats them right, etc... Then I'm sure he'll pay for the wedding (or convince his parents to). Heck, my girls will be so cute that they'll be breaking hearts and I'll be taking those engagement rings and funding my flying Tesla with them!
Of course I say that now... We'll see...
