Where Did You Take Your Slingshot Today?

  • He left this morning about 6:30 am. Headed back to Titusville.

DAMN!!! Hard to watch him head down the road. !400 miles for us worry about. ?( No matter how old they are, it's what parents do.

We took him to the Anamosa Motorcycle Museum Sunday. We were like a couple of kids in a candy store.

My mother in law used to live in Titusville.

Always liked using that area as home base when visiting for bike week. Hope he has a safe ride home.

  • Once you have a child you never cross the goal line, you never spike the ball, the game is never over. They are always your children no matter how old they are!

That is why I have never grown up....keeping my parents on their toes. Just think they thought that they would not have to watch over children just cuz they are in their 80's. I am just trying to keep them feeling young!

    The more people I meet

The more I love my Dog!

  • Technically... not today. But Detective6811 and yours truly went to the Wizard Painter about 10 days ago. We arrived early Thursday morning, finished up about noon on Saturday. The Detective and I did much of the prep work, as did Dewayne, (don't know if he is on here or if that's the correct spelling) and Painter did the final sprays. I did a few, but that was up until what counted. This is the outcome.... (Detective's was pretty well apart for body). Not bad for less than 3 days....

    Detective's Sling....

    My Sling.....

  • So is Detective6811 going to remain topless? Really like the look of both slings :thumbup::thumbup:

  • Took the sling to the top of Sierra Blanca in Ruidosa, well, as high as I can go without going offroad (still haven't done that kit yet, it's still on my to-do list).

Was a tad bit chilly, got down to 55 on the ride up. The ski lodge is at 9600 ft, which is the highest the road goes to. The town itself is at 6900 ft.

It's a very twisty road and you can't go too fast, it's rough as hell, but still a fun ride.

  • LOVE Ruidosa !!! That ride up the mountain to Cloudcroft then down the other side to Almagorda is a fantastic ride!!

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • I am mainly hunting for liberal Californians. They are infiltrating our area as they bail out of their socialist state. For the sale of a plain jane, run of the mill home in CA, they can buy an absolute mansion here. Seriously, there’s a LOT of ex-Californians moving here... If they’re conservative, they’ll have no problem from me.

problem is that the Libs will move there to get away from the mess California has become and then they will vote for the same crap they voted for that screwed California in the first place

  • About a month ago, I met the man who actually owns the house next door to me (it’s a rental - the man & his wife recently moved to Tucson; ironically, his brother is the new renter). I digress. The owner is a black man from CA, born & raised, & he has an Asian wife. Lovely couple (met her too). Anyways, he got tired of CA’s BS & moved here. For the price he got out out of his home in CA, he bought a mansion here + 4 other homes to use as rental income. He said CA turned him from being a Democrat into a staunch Conservative. He said he can’t understand why ANYONE still lives there.
