Where Did You Take Your Slingshot Today?

  • Did a 9-11 remember ride today in Southern Jersey. Took my two wheel toy today. I did run into two slingshot sisters and one slingshot brother. A beautiful day with a 68 mile non-stop parade route escorted by our great brothers in blue! Guesstimate 2-3k riders. Thank you to the many township police departments that did an outstanding job!

  • Went for a ride today with no destination in mind. Stopped by the old Longaberger headquarters for a pic

Then did a lap of Dillon lake and then stopped by Flint Ridge for a walk in the woods

Weather was great at 80° with cloud cover

  • Greetings from the others side (Atlantic). Point Pleasant Beach NJ. Surf was angry but the bay was calm. Temps were very cool, mid 60s. I think the smoke from the west coast may have kept the temps a bit cooler. Weather person said the smog was about 30 thousand feet up. Just enough to put a haze on any sunshine. Damper on our day was nothing compared to issues along the Pacific side. Hope all is well for folks out there.

  • Took a ride to lake Erie today. Stopped by a couple of parks and had fresh perch in Port Clinton . Temp was 61° when I got home @8:30 and the seat heaters were feeling good 😁

  • Drove about 150 round trip miles to the Dealer in Colorado Springs... Nice day for a drive... sorry no pics.... very smoky and could not even see the mountains from the road. Edit... thought I should add the reason I had to go there is because my "local" dealer could not fix the alarm system on my 2020R... I have been waiting for a month and keep getting " we cannot figure it out, our IT guys are working on it"... Dealer in the Springs fixed it in a half an hour.

When the going gets tough.... Downshift.

  • Arrived at Clarksville about 1 PM. Rain all of the way, 226 miles

What? You thought Sally was just gonna let you ride?

She got pissed over that little hump in Florida. Hit the open water and really stewed. Headed inland and she's been making mud since Mobile...

Slingshot Flyer! Well, of course it's red... :REDSS:

  • To surprise me and his mother, our son rode his 2006 Honda Shadow 750 from Florida to Iowa this past Tuesday and Wednesday. My sister called about 6pm Wednesday, "Why don't you guys come over for awhile?" In her house for a couple of minutes when the BRAT steps out from behind a door and say's "So you rode your Slingshot 200 miles today. Hell, I did that on my bike before breakfast this morning"

    Yes, we were SURPRISED!!!

So, I took him for 100mph ride yesterday. Gotta impress these KIDS somehow!!

  • The Captain & I rode with a group from Bentonville to Wiederkhar Village (pop. 46) as part of the Eureka Springs rally. Great ride along route 12, through Huntsville (the land of the Lost!), and then down the whole length of the Pig Trail!

Wiederkhar Winery & restaurant was awesome (although the seating left something to be desired!)

    Great day, great ride!

The smarter you get, the funnier I am.

  • We have been in the Slingshots all day, we left Clarksville at 9 am this morning and just got back about 6:45 pm. we had 17 Slings for that ride to the Peaks of Otter the long way on the country roads. 3 1/2 hrs. for 81 miles.

Looks like both groups are having great weather. Ride safe and enjoy.

  • I am spending next week in Bristol. Sling II is holding up so far. But it does drive different than the 2015 Sling I. I do not like the difference in the 2016 steering and also the steering is kind of twitche. The front was aligned as soon as I got it. (SPOT ON) Maybe I will get us to it.

He left this morning about 6:30 am. Headed back to Titusville.

DAMN!!! Hard to watch him head down the road. !400 miles for us worry about. ?( No matter how old they are, it's what parents do.

We took him to the Anamosa Motorcycle Museum Sunday. We were like a couple of kids in a candy store.
