Hydroplaning is real

  • We ran thru 2 gully washers on the way home and lots of drizzle. We never lost traction but I did slow to 65 thru one of them. Not sure what difference it made but I was pulling a trailer and had just had Cycle Springs install a Wing in Maggie Valley, this was on stock tires.

  • The road surface has a lot to do with traction and hydroplaning. In the first post. If you look over my left front fender in the distance you can see a sign. that's the Utah - Idaho border. I felt fine on the nice smooth road in Idaho but on the shitty bumpy Utah concrete. I lost traction.
