its interesting that you get wet from behind, I do not have a top and I run the double bubble windshields and with my slingshot being my daily driver I have ridden in the rain many times and I never recall getting any water coming back in from behind - I would suspect that the water you are getting might be caused by the vacuum created behind the top as you move forward and if this is the case I dont think a rear fender would have any impact at all - I think the moisture you are getting is coming past the top from the front and then getting sucked back in - - as such I voted for a higher windscreen - at least this would block the water before it could gat sucked into that vacuum - another option might be one of those plastic wind blockers that goes across the hoops like this: wind restrictor
All I know if it's raining hard water comes in. Rain gear and a full face helmet has always worked for me.
F4 5+ windshield and do get water in a heavy rain. I a light rain and tall wind shield you WILL get wet from the rooster tail.
Slow down you won't get a roster tail.

I have had an Assault Fender (no longer made) which is probably the best for cutting down on the rooster tail. Comes down in front (with rubber to meet the front cross of the drive train) and down in back to enough to stop the rooster tail) When they were built they weren't strong. I do have a history with them and have had several on my Slingshot. We now had a redsigned and rebuilt frame work holding the fender which is working well.
Just thinking out loud here, but instead of putting a fender on the slingshot, could you put some type of fender or barrier on your trailer hitch? That would do the same? And perhaps be removable.

This is so true and I found out 2016 heading to Maggie Valley from NJ and doing those speeds on I 85 and OMG moment and I was down to 35mph
with tractor trailers passing me at 70 and with rooster tail just praying they see you in dark rainy afternoon..
So pull over or chances we will read about you and doubt you will be bragging
EjFord those rear fenders look cool but i can’t use one because of my trailer hitch.
Most of the fenders attach to the same area that the side hitchs attach. Most of the fenders out there don't come down in front or in back to keep thing clean and dry.
I built my first full fender in 2016 and the reason why I built it was I took person for a ride and talking did not see white paint on road.
Returning I saw the paint and said you did not drive through that earlier....Well yes I did..
So trying to clean that white paint off the rear .. You have to make a fender ..
And did the same thing on my Vanderhalls I have owned..

EjFord is your f4+5 tinted? Do you have any problems seeing through it at night?
My F4 5+ is tinted, Love it and NO Idon't have any problem at night. My glasses also change in the sun light and always have a little tint. Top that with a tinted face shield on my helmet (don't always have it on) and things are good. I always had a tinted shield on my Gold Wings.
