Well, the wife and I have decided to fly in for this event. Thanks to DKF Texas and her crew for putting this together again! We haven't booked yet but will work it out this weekend. We'll likely fly into Nashville like last time since it's cheaper than flying to Huntsville and it's a kick-ass town to visit. I too would be interested in finding a Sling rental for part of the weekend.
EjFord I think we stayed at the Doubletree Hilton in Decatur last time. I really liked that location. Did you rule that out for some reason? I still haven't seen a host hotel posted up here. I know the event is at the plant, but we did a lot of great socializing at the hotel at the end of the days after the sun went down. It's where I really got to know a bunch of the forum members (including you) and others.

A couple of us are coming in RV's. We're sort of hoping that we can set up at the plant or hotel. I agree that the nighttime activities at the hotel last time were probably even better than the daily GTG at the plant. Sort of still waiting to decide once final accommodations are set. But, it's already penned in ink on my calendar!

I do believe that the two host hotels are Sleep inn (256-232-4700) Athens, AL Harvey and I and I think Painter and Jim Campe will be there. We are coming in a couple of days early. Day's Inn in Athens is the other. Price at Hilton was NUTZ ... I picked Sleep Inn before the group made it a host hotel.

Plans are being made! In an amazing turn of events, I have been offered the use of one of Bu11sh1t 's herd of Slingshots to ride down from Indiana for this event. Who does that?!?!? Harvey, you are an incredibly generous man! It's even more unbelievable when you learn that Harvey has actually met me before. I'll get to join Bu11sh1t , @Mrs Bu11sh!t, EjFord , Painter , Jim Campf, and others for the ride down and back. My wife will fly into Huntsville once we're there so - Happy Wife. I'll book a room at the Sleep Inn for the weekend.
EjFord , Harvey says y'all plan to leave La Porte on Wednesday and will likely ride on through to Huntsville putting us there for Wednesday evening. Is that what you're thinking? I'm flying into Midway on Tuesday and Harvey will pick me up, put me up, and put up with me. I'm looking forward to seeing your home town, and the ride through Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Will there be anyone else coming out from the west coast? Last time we were represented by myself, BryanL (call me when you see this) and Slingshot Garage who came from Alberta, Canada. We thought that Polaris was going to have Slings for us to ride but they had insurance issues and never got Corporate to sign off. We still enjoyed ourselves and the company, but I am looking forward to getting out for some (s)miles!

Little more info on Facebook. I don't believe that there will be a cost for those atttending. There will be a few vendors there.

At the moment the details are still being finalized. There will be tours Friday and Saturday, the depth of those tours have yet to be established. There will be trailer parking available on site for those who will need it. Vendors will be there, final list not available yet.
