...there's also a security system with a fuel cut off from Scorpio alarms

Sometimes I do remember to remove the key. When traveling I 'flirt' with the girl at the front desk -- couple of selfies of her in the drivers seat -- and I can usually park under the canopy at the front door. That and cover with the Polaris cockpit cover and 117,000 miles and NO problems.

Air ride suspension drop it to the ground good luck

typically, I don't use it but if the need arises. Simple, easy, and inexpensive. I keep a strong bicycle cable lock in a side pouch. If it's too long just wrap it around the frame a few more times. A couple bucks at Walmart.

I have a set of master lock street cuffs that in the past I would use to lock the steering wheel to the frame much like you do. It also keeps people from sitting in the drivers seat. These days I have installed a quick release steering wheel so when I park I just remove the steering wheel and either take it with me if it’s going to be overnight or if I am just running in the store I will lock it in the cubby behind the driver’s seat

if they want it, they will take it. None of these "theft" mechanisms are going to disuade thieves from taking the sling. It can be towed pretty easily from the front or the back.

And besides, after owning a SlingShot for over seven years where this topic has been discussed a multitude of times already, there has been little to no mention of any SlingShot actually being stolen? We do put the cover on our SlingShot when it is left out for any length of time and it has not been molested yet!

Theres been more than a couple of slingshots stolen in South Fla. Doesn't make the news often but it does happen. The guy that rented me a sling before i bought mine said he had 2 stolen from him and I met a guy that had his stolen from his condo parking lot.

I installed a proximity immobilizer in mine. If key fob is more than 50ft away from the Slingshot, it kills all power to the ECU.
2015-19 Slingshots are painfully simple to hotwire and drive off. A skilled thief can do it in under 2 minutes, a stupid thief – about 3 minutes, a crackhead junkie…….maybe 5 minutes if there are a few brain cells left. This is the preferred method as it is fast to do, the vehicle is running, driving, and looking normal to any LEO.
I’ve had the immobilizer installed for close to 2 years now with zero issues. About $60 worth of parts and a couple hours to install. Not too difficult.
Sure, someone can still steal it by towing or putting it in a trailer but, I have a full GPS tracker hidden as well so, I get alerted if it moves as much as a foot. Along with constant updates on position. At that point it is a race to see who get there first....LEO or me. For the thief, LEO may be the preferred option.

Personally, if I felt so threatened to feeling the need to put this much effort into keeping somebody from sneaking off our SlingShot, it would either remain in the garage, or more than likely, sold by now. Besides, as I tell the admirers that I hand the key to so they can take it for a spin, it’s insured!
Just saying! 😉

I've always said, if a thief wants it, they will get it. I've seen vehicles stolen with the steering wheel removed. I've seen vehicles stolen with wiring removed. Simply fact is you are not going to prevent theft, you're best bet is just to make it inconvenient to keep the honest people honest.

Some funny stories, one where our son had a super snazzed up lil Mitsubishi with accessories galore in which was always getting broken into, the alarm or other deterrents he added never even slowed them down. Usually right beside our son's car was our older Suburban with better than a thousand dollars or so of tools in which was never molested, and not even locked!
Another was with our new Honda at the time while parked at a motel when somebody with an identical car parked right beside ours. In the morning their wheels and tires were gone with the locking lug nuts hanging by a string on his driver's mirror, again, our vehicle with standard lug nuts was unmolested.

A friend of mine had his Harley stole in front of a restaurant in less than 2 minutes. A trailer, 4 guys and 2 pieces of pipe. They watched it on security video.
