So I ordered one and I am in the process of install.
1st - the provided lugs are the wrong size (awesome)
2nd - Can I just connect to the (much easier to get to) Alternator?

I have that, grounded black wire to frame an red to alternator, works great 👍

My terminals are behind the driver's seat as I didn't want to open the hood every time I wanted to charge the battery (weekly).

I put my charging port on back panel by battery. I know this is a dirty pic.

I just charge with the 12v outlet between the seats. It's always hot. Has worked for me since I picked up my 15 in December 14.

Don't know about that. When I bought the boss head unit from them and the schoche double din and I told them it didn't work without modifying the din, they said well we can't test every unit for fit. If that's the case, then don't sell the 2 items as plug and play. I like SM but they are far from perferct.
