I have killed so many geese in my guiding days that they shook when they seen my truck drive by the fields. My choice of guns is a trusty 870 that i bought when i was a teenager and my SP10 that will knock a goose down from the sky when others would only watch from that distance lol the good old days
What do you carry

AH!! Another duck hunter!! I knew I liked you for some reason😂. My buddies stayed after me “Oh man - ya gotta get a Benelli”. I finally broke down and got one😩 It now sits in my closet gathering dust. I will always stand by guys that hunted a lot or guided will always say a Wingmaster was the best bird shotgun ever made. Course opinions are like as.... - you know

my old 870 has been used as a paddle as a walking stick and as a decoy retriever. Its been under water and stuck in the silt marshes of Lake St.clair and has never miss fired. She is old and beat but has stood the test of time for damn near 40 yrs.

OK. Enough about scatter guns.
All bow to my Marlin 39a. Recognized world wide as the finest firearm ever made AND the longest production run.

I had one years ago and I agree it is a sweet shooting .22. Wish I never got rid of it. Bought a Henry .22 lever action..
I fell in love with the octagon barrel. For me I can shoot it way more accurately. Ended up buying 3 more calibers of the same rifle. The 30-30 is an excellent brush gun for deer. I have a Weatherby 30.06 for lane hunting. Lotta pistol experts in this thread but really not much about hunting rifles. Love to hear what you guys have to say. -
LOVE Henry rifles! Have a Henry all weather (stainless) .30-30 & their basic .22 LR. Just sold a Golden Boy in .22 WMR recently. Eyeballing their long ranger .223/5.56 NATO lever action right now...

I have been really tempted to get the Henry Mares Leg. Not sure it’s very practical but would be fun to shoot (and play like I am SteveMc Queen in Wanted Dead or Alive)

I like those too. I do have have their .410 Axe - good snake gun...😉 Comes with Invector threaded full choke. Also bought modified & improved cylinder chokes for it.

It does look cute, but the color choice leaves a lot to be desired

Whatever you want to hit, have it sitting on the front bead. You WILL hit it.
Gun can be taken down with a coin, anything on your keychain, or a screwdriver, or someone with REALLY strong finger grip. There is a big knurled bolt head, about the size of a quarter on the other side. Loosen that, and the gun comes apart. HOWEVER, it is such a tight machining job, that you usually have to "break" it over your knee, or hit the left side of the barrel on something. Those things were machined with an amazing precision.

Like playing cards, if you don't have a good partner, you better have a good hand. Or, in this guy's case, a good piece of gym equipment.
