Hi everyone, we are a couple looking at purchasing a Slingshot. We take our Siberian Husky everywhere with us. He usually rides in the back seat, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience riding with a passenger AND a dog, whether it be in the passenger area or through some modification like a sidecar. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts or if riding with both of us and our dog is a pipe dream!
Riding with Passenger and 60lb dog

Unless your wife likes a 60lb dog on her lap, I personally don't see it happening. A sidecar is not an option (too wide) and the foot well is too small.

About the only way to safely do that woud be by adding a trailer hitch and a trailer designed like a kennel on wheels. No way can you use a sidecar with the Slingshot and based on that size, it would not be safe having two plus the dog inside the cabin. JMHO

Welcome to the forum! Tons of really great info here!
Good luck with your situation! Really think it's a one or the other gets to ride type thing thought. They do convert these to 4 seaters for about 10 grand.

504steve ,I ran into a couple in TX who took their 45lb dog with them everywhere. He built a platform that went across his wife’s lap with legs to the floor so she wouldn’t have the dog or the platform on her legs. They also had a strap from the dogs harness to the seatbelt. They didn’t seem to have any issues after thousands of miles like that. And the dog seemed happy as well.
And welcome!

Ahhh I think Shaquille O’Neal has a 4seater up for sale….

4 seater, custom doggy trailer or leave the Mrs home.......that would be my options and option #3 seems the likely answer , for me that is

Guy in VOS has a Service Dog he takes in a trailer. Might be an option.
Sent from my iPad using Polaris Slingshot Info

Thank you everyone for your ideas and answers! I will look into the 4 seater options, does anyone have any recommendations on who would do such a conversion? Is it possible to find as a factory option? I've seen mixed answers online.

504steve if you go with a 4-seater you will have room for another dog or another wife.
Choose wisely!
Well... Like you guys said we can always get a trailer too... right?

Polaris doesn't offer a four seater as factory option that I'm aware of. Here's a link to the facebook page with the place I know in FL that does it. I see this one and another posted, but this guy seems to have the most consistent positive feedback from what I've noticed - https://www.facebook.com/Undergroundautostylingsrq
Bunch of pics on there with slings that have been converted to give you an idea. Who's going to ride shotgun if you do it? lol

Thanks for that info I'll jump in there and take a look. The miss will still ride shotgun, the dog likes having two seats of back space.

My wife would have howled louder then the dog when I put her in the trailer.
