Hiw hard are they to remove? Looked at parts list but not very helpful. Mine look really bad. Thinking of getting powder coated over the winter.
Roll bars

Quite simple, remove the 4 torx for the plastic covers and remove. Then just remove the 4 bolts down below for the hoops and pull them out. That is per hoop.

I was hoping it was that simple. Thx

They just require either an impact gun or a buddy with strong arms to do the job. Us old timers would have a tough time removing the bolts without a LONG breaker bar and a good length of pipe

Not just old timers... I had to use a long bar too. They're tight!

Yep, 2 ft breaker bar did the trick for me.

Haven't heard from him in a long time either.

speaking of roll hoops I was over on Slingmods the other day and I couldn't help but notice that the Assault Cobra style roll hoops are not discontinued - - - I was kind of bummed out, was still thinking about someday switching to the chrome hoops
I guess now that a more traditional tubular roll hoop is what comes standard on the bottom of the line Slingshot perhaps Assault figured no one would consider their cobra roll hoops a desirable upgrade
still bummed

I don't like the looks of the round hoops. Personal preference, I like the oem hoops but the finish on mine looks pretty bad. So, powder coating over the winter, gloss black.

must agree, mine have faded and in places its looking like the black is wearing thin - - whatever they used to color them or anodize them sure doesnt hold up as well as I would like

Yes. But on the positive side they don't scratch.

After seeing others, I want mine color matched to the white
