Tail light clear plastic getting surface pitting

they are pretty easy to see with the naked eye

A little harder to get the camera lighting to see them.

Anybody else

Any suggestions

the surface is rough and won’t rub off with a rag. Over the years I’ve tried many different polishes and cleaners. One of those could have reacted with the plastic over time.
