Hot or cold. Never perfect

  • I guess I just never noticed it. It just seems like seasons don't really exist anymore. It just goes from "Shit it's hot" to "Damn it's cold". There is no spring and fall where the temps are mild and nice.

I walked outside and I think i had a mild stroke! I actually have trouble doing anything in this heat. (cause I'm fat and out of shape) and also because it's 93 and the humidity is 99%.

  • I feel you, brother. I know we don't get the kind of heat you all get down there, but yesterday was a "sit yourself in the air-conditioned house and don't do a damn thing" day in Virginia Beach. Planted myself on the couch and watched a few movies with an adult beverage or two, or three. I can't remember!!

  • yep, we are going to feel it the end of next month and then I can walk around and whine about something else . Holy s268 ITS HOT.
It will give @Shack a break ..The Florida Guys will whip my ass in heat duration.

  • And to top it off....We opened our pool a few weeks ago, only to find that our liner was damaged!!! :00008862: We had a few pool specialists come by, and the prognosis is not good. Looks like we are going to be without a pool for the entire summer. The earliest we can get any of them to start any work on the pool...September...maybe. Now I have a 27,000 gallon hole in my back yard! And NOW the weather man says this may be one of the hottest summers in the area. THANKS. Guess we just may move up our trip to Niagara Falls.

I feel your pain @V-SHOT we took the cover off the pool this weekend trying to get the place ready for Fathers day celebration. And the water level was way too low got a leak somewhere... not good. :(

  • spent about 11 years in southern AL..... sure don't miss the humidity! Lived in a turn of the century farm house that had been added onto multiple times- AC was called fans, and heater was the burning stove, (and dripping the darn faucets at night during the winter, so the pipes wouldn't burst!) Can't say that I miss it too much! We get about 3+ weeks of triple digit here, but humidity is MUCH lower

  • Here in the Houston area, our average humidity is around 78% year-round. We actually have a few "winter" months where the humidity seems bearable. We usually hit the 80s beginning in April and stay above that until mid-Oct +/- a few weeks. Although I grew up w/o AC, I've spent too many years enjoying AC comfort and don't have much desire or energy to do much outside once it gets hot and humid.

  • Last year I rode back from ssits on a hot Sunday, thought I was going to puke it was miserable. After adding a top, the ride back this year seemed much more manageable, the top helps significantly. I admittingly never really liked how the top changed the look of the vehicle, but they're extremely functional. Oh, and they're removeable.

Don't think that way... We have all the heat and humidity they do. they just get the beach if they are lucky. WE GET Blood Mountain and all the curves of the North GA area .... I'll take what we got any day.

When if ever I move to FL I think I will have to get a top... I like the open feel but I struggle with heat and allergies and VA gets a enough of both to send me inside. BUT DARN I LOVE FL.

I will absolutely take our climate over anything south of Griffin , Ga . I was raised in Savannah and spent a lot of time in Florida growing up . Have a Daughter and her family in Jacksonville , Son and his family in Savannah along with Dad . I kid all of them from March till November , every vehicle I own just won't run when I get to Griffin headed south.
The y have to head my way in the summer .
The Heat kicks my ass worse than ever now.
We do have it better up your way more so than south of Atlanta .

  • Rain in my part of the country is pretty rare. I have a separate thread about the wind. Being a Slingshot owner has made me very aware of the weather forecasts before I go out. It has also made me very aware how unpredictable the weather is.
