mods on order

First, a big shout out to kev at https://allthingsslingshot.com/ for a quick reply to my questions, going above and beyond to help me save some cash, just wish I had found him sooner. Hindsight is 20/20, but he posts on the forums a lot, should have found him quicker.

I ordered a Welter 2.5" Dual exhaust system and a 1320 Performance header v2

Thanks again Kev.

Next on order is a Twist Dynamics canvas top, Twist Dynamics adjustable 13" windshield and a finally a TD cold air intake all from https://slingshotonly.com/ They were very friendly, but a bit confused as to their own processes and kept telling me my order on a certain date, and then come back with a change, happened 3 or 4 times and was a bit frustrating. Also, they have a discount system for VIP, but you have to pay a fee and I don't see myself ordering that much in the long term, so go visit Kev, no fees.

I don't think a slingshot can be without a pair of Meansling storage bags from no other place than https://www.meansling.com/ I think this was my very first mod that came in, fast shipping (and a bit smaller than some other items :) )

With the base model comes no audio system, which was fine, I wanted an Apple car play head-unit and also wanted to put two cameras (front and back). I went with a Kenwood DMX7705S with two different types of cameras, trying a name brand one with a good rep, Boyo VTB301HD and a cheaper one to compare, Yanees HD 1080p. To help wire in the head-unit, ordered a slingtunes.com stereo power plug to fit the factory harness and not have to cut or T the wires. To put it into the dash, I have a universal double-DIN mounting adapter from https://mytoy-toy.us/ but I can't find the link on his shop for it now, just the 2015 - 2017 version. As of this posting, he's still in development/testing on the universal. He has very good recommendations and referrals, so I have faith it will be good.

Instead of speakers, I'm just going to use my Sena SF2 bluetooth comm system. Everything I've read says that it's hard to get quality audio in the slingshot. Open air cockpit and all. I listen to a lot of audio books and I know the Sena's are good. If I change my mind later, I can always add speakers.

We plan on a lot of longer road trips and while the Meansling bags are good, we needed a way to carry more, so I'm stealing the idea from this post to DIY a rooftop carrier, modified a bit for different brackets but still using the same roof rack.

My toy is stored under a carport for now, and to keep it from getting too dirty, a Budge car cover is being used.
