Slightest bit of humidity, and that there oven will fire the GFCI circuits. Once she gets heated up, you should be fine. But, until then... click...
Prolly would make a nice smoker too.
Keep on havin' fun! Thanks for the pleasant diversion! I know it isn't you, but this thread is good clean livin'.
I was planning on running a dedicated 220v 20amp circuit for the oven, but I wasn’t planning on using it on a GFCI circuit. The element we are using is rated at 220v 3400watts.

A few updates to the wood side of the shop. I added some cabinet doors and hardware to my blade cabinet. Also, I made a rack to store some lumber.

We only have a 10 gallon... cycles the most when using the air gun to clean debris off a table ~> but other than that... does everything well for one-operator-at-a-time usage.
The California Air Tools 10020C is quiet at only 70 decibels. That’s the main reason I chose that one. You don’t have to speak over the compressor when it kicks on, and the tank recovery is very quick. Lastly, I liked that it stands vertically versus horizontal, as it takes up less floor space.

I soooooooooooo miss @Tripod at times like this!
LMAO!!

agree, you can do a tri-fold and store them with a much smaller radius. Hold it with the teeth away from you, both hands palms up at the top, put your foot on the bottom to hold it in place, start to fold the blade towards you at the top while moving towards your feet, it should fold right up without bends or kinks, good luck and it looks awesome
Most people coil do coil the blades. I’m not saying it is a bad idea, but just my preference not to. Granted, coiling takes up much less space, but I feel it’s much safer with the blade uncoiled. I’m always feeling that the coiled blade will attack as the tension is released. As for the benefit in my storage, the dowels keep the blade held back with very little tension, yet it’s easy enough to slide a blade in or out without much effort.

@sideslinger, is that a Shopsmith you are using? I have one that my Dad got , I think one of the first made and still working. You might try twisting the bands, a little easier to store and lot less space. Shop looks great. Keep having fun. JUST SAYIN
Thanks. It is a Shopsmith. They are great machines, and virtually indestructible. This one was a Birthday gift from @ericastar76!

I’ve been looking to build a place to store my saw blades. This is what I came up with. Made some drawers for the table saw blades, and a few cubbies above for the bandsaw blades. I’m pleased.

Oh... BTW ~> she’s made more cabinets today... my wall is SOOOOO LOOSING THIS BATTLE!!
Those shelves will have a sliding cabinet face, that will include places to hang more tools. As we all know, there is never enough room for all the tools we want, but I’ll be damned if I don’t try to find it.

The last week has been productive. Whipped this one out tonight.
-
When you're all setup are you planning a Slingshot version of this @sideslinger?
That would be awesome to try! Maybe not full size though.

A hand plane??????
Why do it by hand when machines can do it faster and better????
You do have a machine that will do it for you, don't you?????
Lol! I have my planer and jointer, but there are situations when hand tools can’t be beat. Hand tools are often better for finer work, that large tools just can’t get to. You can never have enough hand planes.
-
Added a spot to hold a few hand planes.

I’m moving along at a snails pace, but made some headway tonight. Still need to add a rack for my brad point and standard bits, before I can call this cabinet complete.
*On a side note, even though the racks are made to fit on the smaller cleats inside the cabinet, I can still conveniently remove and rest them on the larger cleats on the walls. This is handy should I need to temporarily have some bits in another area of the shop.
-
Squeezed in a little time to add my first shelf to my cabinet.
-
Today’s project entailed building my drill bit cabinet. I used smaller French cleats on the inside, which I will use to organize my bits. I just need to make the bit holders. Hopefully, I’ll have time to get to that tomorrow. Once this project is complete, I’ll start on my, desperately needed, charging station.

While @ericastar76 was bitching at her empty argon tank, I made a chisel holder.

New mod added!! . . . Because everyone should love a blue oval.
-
@sideslinger even though you own something sporting a blue oval on the nose - you have some great wood working talents.
and yes I did think of wording that differently!Looks fantastic!
I’m loving my ‘blue oval’.
