    Wow... ya'll sure make a gray old mare feel real "speckle".


    Spending my bday in a hotel in Kentucky for work purposes - away from airoutlaw and family... :thumbdown:

    (I always TRY to drag with me, but... he's just too stubborn)


    I appreciate all the warm and funny wishes.


    Today is going pretty well... got up at the crack of dawn, quietly slipped out the door, and got my 2 loads of laundry washed before the other 4 floors of ppl found the washer and dryer available. 8o


    I plan on hitting the pause button on dieting & gorge myself on cheese dip, deep fried tortilla chips, the biggest greasiest Mexican dish on the restuarants menu and wash it down with a Long Island Iced Tea...


    Birthdays after 16,18,21,29.... don't hold any real importance to me... I've hit all the milestones until I hit the half century mark or "golden girl" years... (thinking I would like to be a Dorothy, but I'll probably more of a Rose... ).


    I'm good with a simple "happy birthday" really.. so really I'm going to use my birthday as an excuse to pig-out & enjoy a liquid dose of relaxation :/




    I can only hope to be a Dorothy... :D

    I feel the best I have felt all week long.

    Steve nor my mother have any symptoms or fever... so i sit here FINALLY and IRONICALLY "safer at home"...


    How are you and Mrs. Georgia doing in all this ? Your working safely I hope?

    Are you in Alabama? If not, I bet your governor is a republican.... yes, I am a republican.... but ashamed of trump, and disgusted with Alabama's "Mawmaw" of a governor... everything she has implemented in the reopening - restrictions - what appears to be purposely limiting testing.... our governor is a puppet on strings that sings "if i only had a brain"...


    I had to call several places searching across three counties for a test. None of the places had rapid result test kits...

    Another fun fact....


    I came down with a truly explainable fever (from a repetitive medical illness) last sunday - I am in close contact with high risk loved ones daily. I had to be tested. I am one of the most cautious- with gloves masks and alcohol and distancing even with my own "human factor" mistakes .. someone would truly have to spit in my eye for me to test positive...

    I had to get tested before returning to work, which takes 5 days for results... meanwhile up until yesterday i have been fevered, and dehydrated, 5lbs of water weight gone...

    I cant see my doctor until i have results, and the only way I get seen by a doctor is to call an ambulance to escort me to the ER.


    I understand a true emergency- and did not wish to take emergency services away from someones loved one having a stroke or heart attack.... or needing a ventilator...

    I have no problem with masks- i dont see it as any more control than the government telling me to buckle up, have car insurance, or not go in public indecent....

    But.... im pretty sure i had pancreatitis this week... had it several times... know what it feels like well... without any covid symptoms, but all the symptoms and pains of pancreatitis - i needed to see a doctor this week... and was told twice that i couldnt see one.

    But first.... let me say this in response to the "only trumpers not wearing masks"... Totally false. Alabama is a true RED state - with speckled bits of blue scattered about. The majority of ppl here wore masks before mandated two days ago... however only a small percentage of alabamians are still kicking and screaming like two year olds... not at ALL am I defending Trump... and his lack of masking ... thats a totally different thread...


    Ok, the reason why both are needed is because of the inability to eliminate the "human" factor.

    We naturally tend to congregate while conversing... i have caught myself and others UNINTENTIONALLY in each others spaces at work. You gravitate and engage the other person and without being conscious of it, we invade each others social distance rule.

    Alabama is currently a hotbed... i work in a county that has nearly 4000 cases alone. I do my BEST to stay CONSCIOUSLY AWARE of objects i touch, ppl, and carry pure isopropyl alcohol in a pocket sized spray bottle at all times. Out of respect for others i maintain my distance best i can minus the "human factor". And then there are the stupid ppl, who do not share the same respect, or show any regard to me and my loved ones as i have to them.

    I have even asked outright "do not touch me" when a co-worker complained of freezing hands and wanted to touch my arm. This co-worker went ahead and grabbed my wrist and laughed and said "oh good God, I'm not sick... i guess youll have to go sanitize your arm now".


    This is how i see that both are needed.. because of the human (stupid) factor.


    By the way... another reason is ... not everybody wearing a mask want to wear a mask... therefore they will pull it down to their chins, or only cover their nose and upper lip... for those individuals... yes - lets please keep telling them to stay 6 feet back - even wearing their ridiculous mask..

    Added these to a Work Presentation today.... Hard to hear the people laughing when the Mics are muted.... but I could hear them in my head... that's all that matters... the voices in my head amuse me most anyways.

    I'm all about conspiracy theories big dog... but even this seems - tinfoil hat-ish...


    I'd be more inclined to believe in weapons designed and accidentally or purposely released into the public that were intended as a type of Biochemical Warfare... rather than they are making it storm...
