Thank you, @Orangeman.
I'm looking for bolt specs, not torque specs. Specifically, I'm looking for size and grade. I need to replace one with one that is a little longer, but need to use the proper size and quality.
Does anyone have handy the bolt specs for 2016.5 model, two bolts on lower shock mount at final drive?

Thank you @WraithSS. I ended up with something slightly different, went with a rubber socket instead of plastic since OEM is silicone-like rubber. Definitely want to keep projector housings clean and dry on the inside.
Greetings all.
Stock outer headlamp projector housings have a silicone plug in the bottom, whereas the "Canadian Kit" projectors have a wired bulb socket in silicone-like grommet.
I'm looking for this socket/grommet assembly as stand-alone item. They're out there somewhere, as some vendors are selling them in kits for "Devil Eyes" or similar name(s) for running lamps.
I placed T10 red LED in "Canadian" housings, and want to do same for outer, factory housings.
Any clues?
Did this ever happen? Interested...
@MiM, if you have the headlamp recall on your Sling, the center lamps are on a different fuse than the outers.
Easy way to tell.... Pull the 30A fuse/breaker. If all 4 headlamps don't go out, you have the recall done. The second fuse is the yellow 20A fuse diagonal (down and to the left) to the 30A.
My 2016.5 had this done pre-delivery, perhaps even at the factory.
Hope this helps.
Wow, @iNewton! I though I was pretty good until I read your post, above. I'm adept at the cussing part, and I have lots of towels. I do believe I'll leave the rest to a professional!
Reviving this older post to say THANK YOU to @TheRock for the hard work put into a great How-To document. Would be great if it were available as PDF so could store it locally for future reference.
QUESTION: My 2016.5 SL has seperate fuses for inner and outer headlamps. What is the commonly accepted wisdom on triggering both with one switch. The TricLED kit makes/breaks both circuits with a single relay. Good, bad, indifferent?
In PARALLEL to the QJ group buy @Bill Martin is pursuing with an alternate dealer, I have reached out to the seller of the Dannmar to see if he will be able to offer any pricing concessions if we bring him a group buy opportunity. I'll keep you posted.
Yeah. I didn't read far enough. Anchors in the floor would be no problem. There wouldn't be a trip hazard and you could just put some plugs in to keep out the dirt. I have 11' from floor to ceiling with the garage door closed so that would be great.
That's exactly what I would do, although I wish I had as much garage ceiling height as you do. I have about 9', which is still plenty to lift the Sling and work underneath it. I like being able to easily break it down and move it off to a corner as individual pieces. Having full access to the underside it another huge advantage, IMHO. Maybe not that often, but when I need it, it will be good to have.
Still, it's not for everyone, and the higher price may put out of reach of some.
@Deputy5211, the Dannmar looks great but what keeps it stable? Looks like it wouldn't be that hard to tip over. They don't have a lot of info on it.
@dangerdarrell, there is plenty of information on how it attaches in the eBay post I linked to. They even give various formulae and values for the unit. Perhaps you didn't read far enough into it? The unit bolts to the concrete floor, the anchors are threaded so they stay in the floor when you unbolt to posts.
My covers arrived, out being painted, dipped, and cleared. Thank you, @mytoy!
If the QJ deal doesn't happen, I may end up buying a Dannmar MaxJax Portable 2-Post Car Lift, 6,000-lb. capacity like the one listed below.
Yes, it's about $500 more, but the two post design would allow me to work under the Slingshot on a rolling seat. The 84" posts will fit in my garage with about 18" vertical clearance to spare. Also, the posts -- which have casters and hydraulic quick disconnects -- are designed to be unbolted from the floor, leaving the threaded anchors in place, and then rolled away, out of the way. List price appears to be $2,299, and this seller is offering $1,899, delivered by LTL.

I'm not withdrawing from the group buy project, just looking at possible backup plans and sharing information. *If* QJ falls through, I'd be willing to see if we can set up an alternate group buy from this seller.
Ok so everybody can see this different vendor here is the link
Ranger QuickJack BL-5000LSX 5,000 lbs Capacity
I believe it is the exact same product but it appears that they may be more willing to deal from the advertising. Gonna get with em later today.
That does appear to be the same product, @Bill Martin. Good find!
Ok not to sound rude but I don't like cryptic type of things, please post the name of the company so we can look at the product they offer.
Unless we are talking about reaching a deal with a new vendor for a quick Jack, the new jack must be vetted by those interested .
Just because it's similar it doesn't mean that it will meet people's needs remember that the QJ is a novelty item that is functional, good looking, small footprint and easy to use even for those that lack common sense.
Not to be rude, @Neosolidus, but I don't like condescending types of things. Thank you for pointing out all of the obvious points about QJ. Don't let my low post count fool you, this is definitely NOT my first rodeo. That is all; carry on.
Everyone settle down. It's not over until it's over. There is another company that we are talking with.
There's >1 way to skin a cat. Sit back, relax, and let's see where this ends up.
@Bill Martin, I just sent an update via PM/email.
I am a dealer for another lift company. They have 2 & 4 post lifts, table lifts, and more. I may reach out to them and see if they can work something for us. How cool would it be to work another deal, and when these bozos finally call back, to be able to tell them: "thank you, but we found a company that wanted to move 30 units of their product." LoL
I'm just about to the point Imma have to be a prick just to get to talk to the VP - I can't believe they are just flat out neglecting a $30K+ deal !!!!
Not to put too fine a point on it.... With so many of the units being the 5,000 # variety, retail value is actually over $40k.
@Bill Martin, I understand we're waiting for someone of authority to make a decision.... that's fine. Knowing your career, I won't assume I can teach you a thing about negotiating, I'll leave that in your capable hands.
If they are unwilling to negotiate, then perhaps one of us can sign on as a dealer and place bulk orders and have the individual items drop-shipped to the end user. I work with another lift company, and that's exactly how they do it. It's not as simple (for us) as a group buy would be, but it may provide an alternate path to the same goal. If necessary, I'll step forward as the "dealer" since I already have everything in place to do it.
