BKL - Yes that is the one, not a perfect solution but much better than it was.

Following up on this old thread -
I tried the side exit with one Welter tip - it ran fine but I really did not like the sound or the look.
I went back to the stock duel setup and bit the bullet and bought a rear wing (Middle size). It pretty much works, It eliminates about 95% of the fumes.
That will work for me, for now.

Here is a far as I have gotten. Don't know if I like it.
This is a 2.5" inch 90 degree into a 2" reducer with the WP muffler.
It sounds great, don't know if I like going down to 2" at the end. I need to shorten it up a little as well.
Input, Feedback??

So first attempt was a failure - tried a glass-pak type muffler and it was louder than no muffler and and crazy droning sound - it hurt my ears.
Going to try a standard slip-on muffler with a removable baffle next.
-
Will do - my muffler should be here tomorrow.
I can tell you that running with no mufflers at all seems like a have more HP... could be in my head tho as it is so loud in my left ear I can't tell.. LOL

Thanks for the reply - I was actually working on it today. I removed the duels and got a 90 degree from Autozone. Slid it on and clamped it down. No problem, However on the WP Duels have 2" mufflers not 2.5" mufflers so they will not slide on. I have two choices, one use a reducer or buy a 2.5" muffler.
I think I might go with a new muffler as running a 95mm pulley I really don't want to restrict any outbound air.
Also, I need to weld a bracket on the new pipe to remount it as before, it would be good to have that support otherwise it just flops around.
PS - took it for a drive without the muffler - totally fixed, no fumes at all it was like heaven. A really LOUD heaven.

All,
SlingCat has not responded, has anyone else modded their duel's to fix the exhaust in the cabin?
I am thinking of trying the Med sized rear wing as I have read that helps as well.
All the muffler shops I visit say they won't put a right angle on as there is nothing to bolt the pipe to and it will fall off. I did have them heat of the duels and bend them down a little more (farther from the rear deck) and I think I made it worse.....

Tried everything, changed to turn out right behind battery. No more fumes, liked the duels but the fumes had to go!
Can you tell me anymore about how you got this done? Did you order a sidekick end piece from Welter or did you have it made custom. I have to figure out something so sell this beast. - Any pics to tips and tricks to doing ? Seem like it would not be that hard but I cant fine a shop that will touch it.

It became law yesterday.
-
Well that's a frikin bummer... Was hoping to see you.
OK, I will wait until winter hits to send in the ECU. -
@Red
No need to stand corrected, these laws are confusing by any measure, I am just glad we finally have correct wording and definitive answer.See you in EK.

@Dave@DDMWorks
Will you have ECM's in Eureka Springs with the new tune on them for swap, or be able to program ours? -
It is law, no helmet in MO:
The language was added to a different bill that passed and was signed by the governor. So 1389 itself did not pass, but the language is in law.

Bill: SCS HB 1389
Sponsor: Fitzpatrick, Scott
Status: S 3rd Read
Description: Expand an exemption to the requirement that the rider or operator of an autocycle wear a helmet to include autocycles without a roof. Repeal a provision that limits the exemption only to autocycles that have a roof. The House-passed version creates a separate registration category for autocycles.I have emailed Scott Fitzpatrick for clarification on status of the bill and or new Autocycle law.

I was told/read that it was signed and goes into effect on the 28th? I will see if I can find that again.

I want to go. But I might as well just tell the truth. I am having to slow my roll. I have had my income sliced almost in half. So I probably won't know till the few days before it if I have saved and squirreled back enough to go.
Its been pretty tight the last year and it has gotten even tighter the last few months.. Due to things changing in the healthcare industry. I may even have to do something a little bit different in the future. Doctors are just not buying or making computer changes like they used to . And there has been no infrastructure changes lately, They are just leaving what they have alone and doing the least amount they can to keep it running. The belt tightening has been coming for a while. And I didn't think it would bite me in the ass like it has. But it has. My accountant has shown me just exactly where I am and it not pretty.
No sad story.... Just the way it is... I got to play in the smokies and in Panama City. So it has been fun. Thinks will get better I'm sure. Or at least that is what I tell myself....
Hang in there - I'm an IT dude also (Director of IT Operations) and as you know it's a sign-wave and hopefully your at the bottom of the slope right now. -
We have a board member that co-started Cerner, these doctors and hospitals are going to have to up there anti to stay in the game. Obama made electronic medical records a thing, that made Cerner a BIG thing. The doctors and hospitals are going to have to upgrade everything to keep up with tech as it moves forward. Like you said they will wait as long as they can, but the shoe will drop. -
Registered and hotel booked as soon as it was opened.
Red, Hopefully we will actually get some time to hang out this year. I think all we got in was a "Hi' last year.....
-
The wife and I will be there - we have a room booked for the entire time but have not nailed down the exact arrival and departure dates.
