The doc was called Greg Smith in polite company. I will violate man code a bit to tell a story. Greg had a sign in his garage that said "what is said in the garage, stays in the garage". It was in his garage that the two of us, drinking moderately priced malt beverages, came up with this idea and name for the crew.

I'm kinda tore up about this.

ethermion I'm so sorry that I'm just finding out about this. I still remember the wrench day we had at his house. Enjoyed some brews, cool slings, and great conversation.

We should set up some kind of a memorial ride for him. DocG will be sorely missed. Should be back stateside this weekend from China if you want to talk about what has happened and a possible get together in Greg's memory.

Greg is one cool cat.

I was off the grid paddling 150 miles on the James River beginning of the month to middle. Got back to email from Gregs' widow with the sad news. Glad I was the last of the crew to ride with him a couple of weeks before his first heart attack hit. Wraith, you were the last crew member I rode with when we went to the car show, so yes, we should all get together to salute a fellow veteran and crewmember. Gregs' door was always open, and came with the obligatory offer of a cold beer and a hot cheeseburger. A good man with a big heart that failed him.
