Just received my daughter's report card for the end of grade 11. I can honestly say I never made good grades like her. She always keeps her head in a book even in the summer. She makes me proud of her every day.
On the funny side of things... we used to hate people like her. They would screw up the grading curve for all of us that didn't make good grades.

Wow! Nice job on her part and I always say good parents raise great students. I would definitely be proud of her. My daughter is in 10th and still taking final exams this week so the jury is still out on her final grades but she also puts my weak high school effort to shame. It's also so much more competitive now then back in those days when all you needed was a pulse and a signature to get into nearly any 4 year institution you wanted to. Now you need to have half of your college credits complete by the end of HS, in the top ten of your class and a perfect attendance record just to get the school to consider you.
My burning question is..... Will you reward her with something for all of that hard work?

Thinking something little less expensive than a slingshot.
Maybe she wants her dad to have forged low compression pistons and forged connecting rods for his slingshot. I'm doubting it but i'll ask her and make sure.

Yup, I used to play hockey--defenseman, also did some speed skating competitions...The lady coach putting her on the ice in the beginning of the video was a former olympian and 2 time national champion..Calla Urbanski..This was a national event and she won a silver

That is awesome - I could never bring my report card home without first correcting all the mistakes my teaches made on my grades.
I think she deserves something special - new car maybe?

Very impressive Flybuddy, my sister was figure skater and I know how much dedication and work it takes to reach that level, from both the child and the parents who support and encourage them. Not to mention the expense of lessons, Ice time and equipment.
Funny thing is my sister went from skating with the Ice Capades to racing pro mod dragsters. so you just never know!

Not surprised, takes type A personality which makes them very competitive. Dedication and cost are huge, she spends 10 hours per day at rink, 5 for school, 4 on ice and 1 for gym.

Awesome...So your a rink rat as well 
....4+ times a week for us. People don't get what it takes to skate...
That's a great video, She has a hell of a future if she sticks with it!!
