I was assigned to the Intell School from 1977-1980. Worked on 98G SQT development and as an Instructor. My Wife and I also enjoyed the area. We still reminisce about how much we enjoyed going to Railroad Salvage near Greenville. They had 23 channel CB radios at really low prices when the 40 channel units started coming out. We bought a Star Trek-themed Hot Wheel-style trike there for our Son and every kid in our Quarters complex wanted to ride it! We lived on Salerno Circle at the time. We went back and drove thru Ft. Devens around 2000 and everything had really changed.
Wow, really a coincidence. In the Air Force I went to DLIEC to learn Korean then was stationed at NSA in Ft. Meade Maryland. Was not a very good linguist but a dang good analyst. Small world.
