New smartphone with FLIR thermal camera

I think you can grab a pretty cheap flir attachment for any iPhone or droid phone. My guess is that people probably won't use it enough to make it worth getting a whole phone designed around it.

We have a couple of these floating around the office. Flir gives you all kinds of freebies when you purchase mulitple 1/4 million dollar cameras.

I was looking at these Monday. Looks like a fun toy but I bought another E4 handheld unit for work. The one I had came up missing. they are a great tool for diagnosing heat and connection issues.

Hadn't seen the FLIR attachment before. Might be a great solution for a small VFD that can't afford a handheld. Great for looking for hotspots during overhaul!
