I'm looking to swap my full cover with bag for a cockpit cover
Looking for the full dust cover or the trailering cover? … I think I read it all back words.... Haven't seen any cock pit covers listed for sale....
-
I'm looking for the cockpit cover like they have in Slingmods. I already have the full cover but it's too bulky to travel with.

Rain-X fits behind the drivers seat, I always travel with it to keep people out of the SS at the motel

Rain-X ? The only Rain-X I know about is the stuff you put on your windshield. Can you educate me please?

They also make car covers. They have them at Walmart and other fine stores. I got one after adding a roof and saddle bags to my Slingshot to use as a dust cover in the garage and on trips when I have to leave it sit out overnight.

Thank you; who knew!

How old is your SlingShot? Our cockpit cover came with the sale of our SlingShot, maybe if you return to your dealer and ask?

Thanks Bill but no, mine's a 2015 and it's not the factory cover. It's a Covermax.

I have a Polaris Cockpit cover … it's quite 'bulky'. The cover that @FunCycle talked about and it fitting behind the seat might be a good option.

Our Polaris cockpit cover keeps residence behind the driver's seat?

I like the look of the Nelson Rigg cockpit cover. It doesn't seem to be quite so bulky

I have a cockpit cover brand new from Slingmods. I never opened it. It is still in box. I'll take $60 for it. I got a bullet speed top before I even got a chance to open cockpit cover. Let's ride one weekend. I'll meet you half way. I am right at Exit 1 on I81. The Tn/Va line.

Good offer but I really want to see if I can unload the full cover first. If you still have it then; I'll get back to you.
-
Sure thing.
-
If you still have that cover. I'd like to get it but could you ship it to me? I can pay you with Paypal or check, whatever.
Thank you, Bob R. -
I have the Nelson-Rigg cockpit cover from Slingmods, and I like it quite well.
Very compact, actually goes back into the 10x6 inch bag pretty easily. Goes on & off in about a minute and keeps my cabin completely dry. Water does pool on it during a rain, but haven't had any problems with leaking.I DO hate the hooks. They clank & bang against the interior & exterior, I've even gotten slapped in the head with one while putting the cover on in windy conditions. I'm designing a magnetic solution for that, I'll post details when I have it ready.

While we're on the topic of covers, who here has used (successfully) a trailer cover for their slingshot that is equipt with a roof of any type? I know a few of you have had custom covers made, but i'm trying to stay more in line of an entry level condo not a beach home in Miami j/k, but you get the idea.
Any thoughts?
