There isn't one. Polaris uses their own diagnostic for the canbus system called the digital wrench. That connector is under the dash to the right of the steering wheel.
I'm not sure if you have the updated display, but the original models has the mode button in the center dash under the radio. If you press it in to toggle between the option while there is a check engine light on, it will display the error code if you hold it in. But it will only display that code if the check engine light is on - if it's an intermittent failure, it doesn't display codes stored in history.

thanks, the code is 598.
Where can i find out what the codes mean? -

i just got gas and now it’s gone.i will see it if’s pop up on the way home.

There isn't a code in the manual that even contains 598. Pics would be helpful. Slingshot uses J1939 marine protocol instead of OBD2. This company sells an adapter that can connect to their MEFI6 Scan tool if you do not have access to Digital Wrench - OBD Diagnostics

I saw O 598 , i think that is what displayed. i will get pic , if it shows up again.

You're cycling through the display using the center stack black button?
-
I believe if you turn key to acc. You can use mode button to scan through screens and see chk eng code that way

To turn key to acc. push it in and turn past the start position.

Help me to understand this....are you saying we can use this plug to read codes and other info from the SS? That said can we purchase the diagnostic component to do this?
Or would we still actually need the digital wrench... -

Having no experience with this type of tuning....after it’s diagnosis does it offer suggested parameters to be in to optimize engine performance? Giving you the abitlity to fine tune? Or do you need to know what your doing...or trial and error..the settings?
For Example... setting “A” should be between 1.8-4.1 ... you're at 2.1 ...letting you know it’s good..
Setting “B” should be 325 ...you’re at 300 ....letting you know it needs to be adjusted.

I do not have this tool, but from their website it looks like you can buy the J1939 to MEFI6 Scan adapter, and it will hook up to the MEFI6 Scan tool that can do OBD2 and J1939 marine protocol.

It is just a scan/diagnostic tool similar to any other OBD2 tool. It is not an ECU Mapping tool.

Their site says I can save my original ECM settings and make changes to it...on a computer and input them into the ECM...unless I’m misunderstanding it.
