The old thinking of bad luck or news happening in three's has hit home once again. It started off with Gerald's (funcycle) loss in the I-40 car accident and his friends loss of life. Then it continued with Al's (Nemesis1701) and the loss of his slingshot buddy. Now it hits closer to home. My wife's elderly aunt was in a car accident Wednesday and hit her head and complained of leg pain. Local hospital took x-rays and decided to keep her overnight and then sent her home Thursday. Even against family concerns of her head and lack of leg stability, they said they could see no reason to admit her. I guess if they knew that within 12 hours she was going to go to the bathroom and fall trying to get back into bed, their decision may have been different. She broke her leg and hip and was bleeding internally (not unusual seeing that she was on blood thinners for a bad heart valve). To keep it short, other complications caused her to not survive the night and passed away yesterday morning.
The only good thing to come out of these things is to live every day as if it's going to be your last. One day you're going to be right
