I will even say that I have not had any mechanical issues that were not expected. When I got there we started dialing up power and everything has went as expected. So far so good.
143.45 mph in Indy. Now on to Ocala....

no. My splashguards are off. However I am running a 5" over windshield. I have a few ideas for tomorrow.

I’m about 8 miles away from Marion. If you need something let me know. Even if it’s some burgers on a grill afterwards. I’ll pm my phone number.

You know I'm trying my best to remember who on the forums used to say they ran 150mph in a stock slingshot... I swear I remember a thread on the dark side where some people said they had held their gas pedal to the floor for however long and it was over 150mph.
I seriously dont think terminal velocity for a slinshot pushed out of a airplane would be near 150mph....

so many drag inducing elements ..... Soooooo many.
With W/S removed go to Home Depot and buy a 1" x 1" angle channel of aluminum. Cut it to the exact width of the very front section of your cluster pod cover ( toward the steering wheel). Attach with 3M double sided tape. This will divert just enough air to make air flow at the top of your helmet acceptable.
Now this one is gonna sound stupid but remove the passenger seat if possible as well as the plastic trim around your hoops and the center headrest trim. You want the air to flow past not against as much as possible.

I would love to see how fast it would fall from a plane. I kinda think the tail would be pointing downward when it hit. The front may be heavier but the rear is pointier. I can just see it now..... I'm pointing a radar gun at it as it falls to earth... 129mph 130mph 130.5mph 131mph.......

I would place a bet you could run faster with the MeanSling top on. The aerodynamics and how they stop the vacuum on the tail would remove a lot of drag.

it's the front that produces resistance (front slope of the fabric). You would need to set it at the lowest possible setting all the way around. I would go with the suggestion above first.

Or you could just take off your hat. The air will run smooth over your bald head!

141.38 is the number to beat tomorrow. Kyle D has raised the bar high. real high ! the Slingshots have entered a new realm.

It'll be interesting to see the mods Kyle D has made to his turbo setup, which I assume is still based on the ZZP turbo setup with larger injectors and additional boost plus who knows what else. My assumptions are based on his YouTube video comments earlier this year on getting more power.
