I broke down and installed a new muffler system at SSITRS to get rid of heat. It worked not bad but it is loud with all the noise coming around the licence plate. I would like to move the
exhaust down to the rear wheel and put on a small resonator. I have filled out web forms made long distance phone calls to voice mail but have not received any help from the manufacturers on this forum. Any idea where I can purchase a small resonator. I see them as part of a system but only need that for now.

Depending on the diameter of your exhaust pipe, you can google "exhaust pipe resonator". Here's one for a 2.25" pipe.

They also work real well. Just go to your local muffler shop and see what he has available, it just might surprise you. Maybe not a chain store.

I suggest going to a dealer of used motorcycle parts. Having said that, I don’t know if a mc muffler will allow enough exhaust air flow for our SS engines.

I did go to a local muffler store which does custom race exhaust and they only have car exhaust parts. They suggested that I look at motorcycle parts. I contacted supertrapp and they have no dimensions on there site and were not helpful. I have left 2 messages with vendors on this site and they have not return my questions. I will take a measurement tonight I know the quad end is 3" OD.
Car exhaust parts are what you are looking for!

How about something by Stebro or Ansa. They make great looking exhaust resonators. At least they used to when I was into sports car stuff years ago!!

I'm not sure what vendors you've tried reaching out to, but I'm surprised @angie@WP or @Jeff Welter can't assist... They are exhaust experts.
