I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to finish my install and hang the mufflers. Anyone install these? What am I missing?

I have not installed that setup so I'm not much help. You may find the information you need by watching their installation video on their web site.

I put the supplied foam tape on the inside of the clamp, slide them over the muffler can with the nut inside, put the supplied hex head bolt in the hole and tightened them. A little bit of fiddling required to make the mufflers equal distance from centerline.
Am I missing the problem?

My kit does not have the bands (hose clamps that I see in install pictures) that goes around the middle of the muffler and attaches to the bracket above it to hold the mufflers up. I am being told I don't need them and that the same bolt at the rear of the muffler that clamps the muffler to the pipe should be used to attach to the hanger and hold the muffler up. I can't get it to get even close.

Maybe @Jeff Welter can shed some light

The circle hangars that go around the cans and attach to the hangar that you have hanging down with the hole in it

I cannot help you install but would really like to hear you comments about the exhaust. How you like the sound, how much drone is there, etc.

The best sounding exhaust out there except for the cat delete with the stock can

thanks for the feedback. Not sure how familiar you our with the performance exhaust option available on the C7 corvette. If you are would you say it compares to the sound of this? Just looking for a compare

Have owned Corvette's. No! it is not a Corvette/V-8 so it will never sound like one, but IMHO like I said, do the cat delete and leave the stock can and you will be as close as you can get.

who ever told you that you dont need the straps is wrong, they must not have ever even seen a Welter exhaust.
The straps might not have gotten packed. Get hold of Jeff and I'm sure he will expedite some to you.
In the mean time you could use some stainless zip ties.
On mine the can is held to the pipe via a spring and two chain eyes. Did they change that? A closer look at you picture shows the new clamping style, sorry.
