I had this issue with a car hood that was getting bad small rock chips in the paint. The shop took it back in the booth and added the flex additive they use on rubber bumpers. Problem solved. Just a option you might want to try.
Something is killing my back fender

Yea, mine would be difficult to hit my swingarm.....
Well one thing is for sure...if you plate ever does touch the swing arm...something has gone horribly wrong and the paint is the least of your problems!!

Looks like you could use one of these:

That is were Vanderhall license plate is located on left hand side of rear tire.
-
Well I can verify the fender damage is from the license plate bracket, I found a chip of paint on it today with new damage.
Now I know why Polaris doesn’t sell them with fenders.
-
well it is a cheap plastic hanging and very easy to move someplace or take the hanging plastic and raise it to a lighted license plate holder with lights built in .
I used LED lights in the bolt holes of license plate . -

I think that most people who add a fender either move the license plate to a new location or mount the plate on the fender itself

I’m probably going to remove this dangly down thing.
I just spent about $150 for flags and the poles. Plus time and money to make the new glove holder bracket.

when you say "dangly down thing" are you talking about this stupid reflector thing that polaris stuck on the stock license plate mount?
if this is your problem just remove the whole thing and throw it away. It has to be one of the dumbest things they put on the stock slingshot - -
looks like something they took off a kids bicycle and it looks cheep
I removed that thing the day I brought my slingshot home - - and I cant believe that you made a nice new mount and then put this thing on it
-
wow @harleyujoe is that your white slingshot in the picture if it is I would like to see more pictures of the front and the fenders

Going to be a cross between a VW GX3 and Campagna V13 ..
I wanted to buy a V13 but driving this Slingshot with everything the way I like it other
than the way it looks I decided to finish what I started..
The V13 only 122HP vs this SS at 280 and that is a lot to let go in fun factor.
The only other thing will be added will be big brakes.
I had fenders made and nose made 3 yrs ago for it and that was when I decided to just throw it
together after being apart for over a year and drive it.
Now I have Vanderhall for backup and decided to complete SS and get rid of lower spoiler and
anything that looks like SS and clean up interior while I am at it.
So hopefully few months I will have fiberglas foam on it and start finishing..
So this pic was taken Nov of 2015 to get idea off my thoughts for SS after purchasing brand new in sept of that year..
And yes my wife was pissed I was cutting it up. -
@harleyujoe this is very interesting please keep us posted
-
Here is pics of it before tearing down.
