Of all the amplifier (locations) which has worked the best considering weather, accessibility, heat dissipation and ease of wiring?
Considering some other options ( locations) not posted.
Amplifier Location

Behind the radio has to be the hottest place on the sling. I wouldn't recommend that location for sure. If you are going under the seat which seems to be the easiest location for wiring... Put some rubber grommets under the amp to allow water flow beneath the unit. I've been lucky with mine under there for a few years and no issues with heat or water.

Would be interesting to see if it can be attached to the underside of the seat and not to the floor panel. Giving more clearance to water accumulation.
-
mounted mine passenger side, below the hing, behind the seat. Good air flow, not worried about water, still have access to the compartment. No pics, but I can get you 1 tonight if you want it.

I did the same behind the driver side.

Would like it very much!

I installed my amp in the infotainment cubby area after blocking off the opening to the engine compartment.

I vote under the seat with 1/2 inch nylon spacers.
Very close to the battery, not visible, good airflow, and very easy to screw down.

@Nemesis1701
it's up off the floor, easy to add or change wiring, or adjust the sound if needed. Hope it helps, sorry for the dirt! -
Got it. Thanks!

Been looking around for amplifier under 200$. Req are 4 channel, bass control, 250 to 300 RMS @4 OHMS. LOW / HIGH INPUT and if the installation kit comes with it even better.
Sooooo many freaking options out there -

The Clarion XC2410 is an affordable 4 channel amp with reasonable RMS power output. The XC2510 is the same amp with a subwoofer amp added and can occasionally be found for well under $200 (EBay), although it's more often closer to $300.

I put mine on the side wall of the storage container behind the drivers seat. Lose a bit of valuable space but they won't get wet! My subs are under the glove box.

SSREAPERPictures of mine are similar to what @Shatneyman posted. I like the Alpine that @SSREAPER put up. Bang for the buck I went with the Kenwood KAC-M3004.

@Cameron Roberts (IIRC) has a really cool setup for amps... (in the side wings)...

Yes. It’s a very cool position for the amps. One of my few good decisions lately!
