Anyone per chance had a damaged hood, replaced hood, or otherwise found a reason to have a spare hood substructure laying around. I'd really like to purchase one to play around with an idea rattling in my head but I can't justify the near $1000 cost to get one from polaris!
Slingshot hood substructure

Not sure if this helps... you may have already seen this partial hood on ebay
-
Yeah thats not the piece I am after. The seller didn't show a the hood sub structure for sale anywhere.
And for what its worth thats basically 40% off the price of a brand new, flawless, painted piece ... seems like a significant rip off as repairs and repainting that part would cost significantly more than a brand new painted piece.

Yes. I have a hood in my 2015 SL LE being replaced. It has very light damage, but my loss adjuster was great and authorised a new hood. If you can arrange collection/postage from my dealer in CA then it's yours.
-
That would be baller! A little damage is fine, who can I contact at the dealer to try and arrange postage?
-
Can you wait about 10 days. I'm waiting for a final part before it goes in to be fixed then the old one will be spare
-
Of course! Thanks for letting me know.

Any news @andiparker ?

Yes Final part has arrived and Slingshot is going in on 20th June for its rebuild. Anytime after that you can speak to Toni at Spirit Motorcycles in San Jose, CA to arrange her to post whatever parts you want from the hood.

Awesome! Thanks!
