Anita so sorry for your troubles today - it was wonderful to travel with you. If you need anything (including a place to stay if you are in Wisconsin) do not hesitate to holler
Don’t do this - the rest of the story

Does the chunk look like this
My tire guy said it would be ok to drive on. I drove straight to the tire place when you happened to be sure. This is about 1/4” thick

Anita sorry to hear of the problem. Glad you were able to get it loaded. When we were loading up I had to come into my trailer at an angle. needless to say the wet grass and a wood deck does not equal traction. took a few tries to get the butt end ligned up correctly. I can totally understand how this happened. Lesson for us all.

Sorry to hear about this, wet and slingshot is just not a good combination.
Hopefully nothing else is damaged, I am sure one of the many people removing the mudflaps for hugger fenders will offer them up if you want to replace them, I would offer mine but already sent them to @gpcustoms.
Be glad to forward them on!!! just shoot me a message and an address and they will be off as soon as available

Thanks for all the offers - I'm thinking I might get the fenders. I will keep all in mind though! @mytoy thanks for your offer - not sure what size yours is but I have found one here.
Here's what happened as near as I can figure. I have a SlingThing trailer with fold down ramps. There is a 'hinge' the back tire has to go over and it takes a little 'oomph' to get it there - I think that little 'oomph' is what did me in. Definitely agree with @airoutlaw about putting some antiskid on there.
Just about the time the tow truck arrived, a man walked over offering to help. He had been pulling out and someone told him what had happened. It was George with the green Sling and the boombox trailer! Boy! do I owe him. I won't say the tow truck driver wouldn't have handled it, but George took charge - had a great tire jack plus a floor jack.
Three places in Wilkesboro, including Polaris, and no tire. As I searched I found they have Discount Tire in N.C. Woohoo! Tire should be there Wednesday morning. Some may remember I had to drive to Discount Tire in Denver for a tire SSITR 2016.
Gotta love this family!
Just remember you can have the set until you make the plunge and then just donate them to another needy member young lady!!!

@Bigdog my tear isn't even that big. Since Sling is on the trailer and truck tires need to be checked, I will just trailer it - plus it's about an hour.
@gpcustoms, thank you. Getting mail right now is difficult (often is) because I'll be on the road. I went out to take the broken part off today and decided it can just stay where it is for now. It's solid just cracked. I can always decorate that crack (thank goodness Tripod is gone well, not really ). Thinking more and more about fenders.
Really appreciate all your kind comments.
When I posted what happened on FB, one of my RV friends thought it was good I was with other Slingers to help. Told her you all had left or I wouldn't be waiting on a tow truck!

Get some black duct tape to put over the crack and it just might keep it from getting longer until you get the replacement.

This stuff will fix it!

I put about 4000 miles on after my slice
