My local court house charges a "convenience court fee of 37.50" for their inconvenience of dealing with the repair ticket.
I havent had a fix it in over 20 years, but the last time I did you could just go find a sheriff to sign off saying it was fixed and then mail it in. no fees or court involvement

Here you have to make an appointment with a hearing officer who then signs off after you provide them with pictures or receipts from the shop doing the work.
The deputy chief lives 3 houses down from me..... if i could just walk down the street and have him sign it, it would be so much easier.......
Anyways it is just a money grab from "city hall".
